The saga continues, but we're close to buying our first coach. We found an 09 Fleetwood Excursion 40x. It has every we need: right number of seat belts, 360HP cummins with 1000 ft lbs of torque, the mrs. likes the floor plan (yay) and so on.
Coach has 11k miles on it. Dealer offered a 4yr warranty for close to 4,000 covers everything but the powertrain for $100 deductible.
I'm averse to extended warranties, but it would be good to not have to stress any repairs for a few years.
Couple of questions:
1. Are these warranties worth it or should we buy aftermarket? If so, who sells these kinds of warranties?
2. Are these types of warranties voided if you're fulltiming?
I would put the $4000 in the bank just in case. Do your do diligence and or have a qualified inspector help you look over your new coach before you give them the check. They fix things a lot better before you give them your money.
