The dealer for my new Discovery wanted $19k then 14k for a 5 year warranty. NO. Then they went to 9k and 6 years. NO. Finally had to cancel it at final signing. Major expensive parts (ie. chassis) are already covered for 5 years.
I got 2k back from a prior warranty I regretted buying and never used. I'm now saving up $3-400 per month just in case. In a 1 and 3/4 years I will have $10k.
If I never use it I'm ahead. I can fix most things myself. If I do need the money won't $10k cover it?
My rear camera went out. Sent it back to mfgr. for $10 USPS.
If I had to take the RV to a Fleetwood dealer it would have cost me $80+ for fuel and 2 days in trips. More savings by not having an extended warranty.
