Not trying to rehash the 6volt vs 12 volt discussion .For those who have 12 volt batteries , what brand did you buy ? Are you happy with them ?

Lifeline or Universal Battery AGM's. AGM's are very expensive but will give you more bang for the buck than any other battery UNLESS you use well cells and you are ABSOLUTELY meticulous with your maintenance. One mis-step and those wet cells are going down! My first set of AGM's lasted 10 years and I am now on my 2nd set which are already over 5 years old and going strong. Yes, I have owned the same coach for all of that time (18 years come August).Based upon that time line there is about 3 years missing. Those were the years that I attempted to keep the wet cells alive. I failed badly and replaced them once a year for 3 years.

Bill, I didn't know your coach was 18 years old! It looks great! However, you can't stay in my RV park any more. Sorry...ten year rule.

I just bought an AGM Deep Cycle from Sam's Club and so far it has done a pretty good job. It says it is rated for a little over 2 hours (150 minutes) of continual use. I think I gave just under $100 for it and if anything goes wrongs with it, I can warranty the battery at any Sam's Club or Wal Mart. I figure those things are everywhere, so I am pretty well covered.

We had 8 wet cell batteries in our 2008 Monaco Dynasty. In 2013, I decided to switch to AGM's and wished I had done it from day one. I checked the batteries religiously and filled with distilled water as needed. What a ******* headache! The wet cell batteries sulfated and caused corrosion on the battery trays which had to be repainted. If you can swing it, go with AGM's.Safe travels,MM.
