DEF Filter

Was wanting to know if there is a DEF Filter on a Freightliner Chassis and if there is where is it located!

    You are referring to the selective catalytic reduction unit, not the DEF filter. It's on or near the DEF tank.

    I believe you are referring to the DPF (diesel particulate filter). The OP is speaking of a filter for the DEF liguid fluid.
  • On our 2013 Freightliner chassis, the DEF filter is located on the bottom of the DEF tank assembly. No wires are connected to it and it is easy to replace.

    On my 2013 the DEF filter is located by/below the DEF tank. I think the filter is good for 500,000 miles, but I went ahead and changed it anyway a few months ago.
