Well, If it's a Class C, on a Ford Chassis, that chassis is probably an E-Super Duty or an E-450, depending on how Ford was badging them at the time. The door sticker should say its Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is 14,050 pounds. I believe the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) is 20,000 pounds in those years. Newer ones (and maybe even early E-Super Duty and E-450) are 22,000. So... if the loaded coach weighs 14,000 your max tow would be at least 6,000 (and maybe 8,000) unless the coach's frame extensions or hitch de-rated those numbers. The 14,050 and 20,000 (or 22,000) are based on Ford's specs, not the motorhome's. Vehicles put less strain on a coach than trailers. Any towed weight in in excess of what the coach's brakes are built for, so the trailer or towed vehicle should have its own brakes to aid in stopping. There's also a requirement for break-away braking.
