Yep and yep. I concur.
I used the word, baseline, a lot to use as a starting point. I agree with the added load from side to side shifting. My owners manual is for the Dodge van and while it does list tire inflation tables, it does not address the RV's weight. I can only go by the build sticker GVW as specified from Kodiak so I'll stick with axle weight. In my case, the starting PSI is in the 50# range as calculated and with a max PSI of 80# per tire, I'll be comfy and safe in the 60-65 range Fr and Rr.
I want to weight this rig empty except for some propane and a half tank of gas, just so I know . Not so much four wheel weight just total.
For those with OE tire inflation specs this is the original formula that I dug up via da 'net.
It's also easy , just takes a bit more math.
OE tire max load rating, X, Door sticker's recommended PSI, divided by, OE tire max PSI
~then~
~Multiply that by~
New tire max PSI , divided by, New tire max load rating
