Mine didn't start failing (mildew) until mid year four. So the new stuff may not have started failing yet.
I had heard of mildew issues BEFORE I had it installed and I TOO was assured the new stuff had been "improved".
No way would I spend $1200 again.
But I will point one thing out. Even though it was a royal PITA to remove at year six, it did it's job. The paint looked like new and I only had one chip.
Another thing I'll point out. The installer did not wash the front with bleach water before the install. I would do that.
