I have Coachmen Concord (27ft} on an E-450 Ford chassis with the 6.4 L Diesel. I love it, It also has the Propane injection system for added power(never used it) when needed. I have had it for 3 years and average about 12 to 13 MPG with it pulling a Chevy HHR. The Class C diesels are available but only on special order. The diesel package increases the price about $7000.00 but is by far worth it. I had a 30 ft C with a V-10 and kept it about 6 month. No comparison in power and MPG.
I had thought that the 6.4 was never available in the E450. Do you have an F450 or a 6.0?- ronfishermanModerator

Most of the Super C's have a hitch rated for towing 10,000 lbs. That does not mean that you can tow 10,000 lbs and be within maximum load weight. Most will get you a towing weight around 6,000 lbs. The models that are 35' or more will be limited to less.
GCW on the C5500 Chassis is 26,000lbs. Many of these motorhomes weigh 20,000+lbs before anything is put on trailer hitch. - Bone_CrusherExplorerChevy Duramax, with slide outs, 10,000 pounds towing capacity

I looked at a Gulfstream Ultra on a diesel Ford chassis (and with a diesel generator). Unfortunately, that particular motorhome had very extensive water damage, requiring a complete rebuild of the ceiling and all the outside walls and possibly more. Besides being a diesel, it also had an unusual layout with a pair of bunk beds and a second dinette in the rear. - Kit_CarsonExplorerOne of the local casinos use E-450 chassis for their shuttle busses. - mlts22Explorer IIIf the OP wants a diesel class "C", there are the larger Super-C models, and for up to 24-26 feet, there is the Sprinter chassis that is offered. There is even the diesel Winnebago Trend as the sole ProMaster diesel, if that is wanted.
- AndyWExplorerYeah, I suspect the OP simply didn't understand what the 'pusher' part of diesel pusher implied.
There are diesel class Cs, but they are rare. A diesel on the standard Ford E450 chassis is extremely rare, and those engines were problematic anyways. Thor builds some models on the Ford F550 pickup chassis with a diesel, but those are new. In the used market, your best bet is probably something on the Chevy Kodiak chassis. This one for example:

(not recommending this particular one - it was simply the first good example I was able to find)
