In 40+ years of having diesel vehicles only once have I gotten "bad diesel" and I buy from whoever has the cheapest price. Unfortunately my DP has sat for the last six months and other than parking with the tank full I do not worry about it. I also do not crank it up until the day before I plan on leaving in 14 days.
