Have you checked the VIN on that chassis? A 1997 chassis will have 'V' for the tenth character, and 1999 chassis will have an 'X'. Ford did not offer a 1998 model year F53 chassis. The last year for the 460CI V8 F53 was 1997 and the first year for the 6.8L V10 F53 was 1999.
