- tatestExplorer IIWhat Snowman said, unless you want to totally avoid the Cincinnati area. To do that, take I-64 west out of Lexington to Louisville, then I-65 north to Indianapolis to get to US-31. But Louisville can be an even bigger mess than Cincy at the wrong time of day, and I-65 was pretty rough the last time I used it a few years ago.
Taking I-75 all the way up to Maumee to get on the Ohio Turnpike adds almost 100 miles to the trip. - SoCalDesertRid1ExplorerNorth on the 75, then west on the 80
