disadvantage of having MoHo parked in driveway.

I've found one disadvantage of keeping the MoHo in my driveway year round. Allthough very convenient, it puts up a great big WE ARE OUT OF TOWN sign when it's gone.
came home after a trip over the long weekend and found that someone siphoned all of the gas from my car.
looks like I'm going to get a locking gas cap and a security camera.
  • Hmmmmmmm, we have our MH on the side of our house on a pad. I never thought about what could happen when it's gone.

We have great neighbors that know when we are out on a trip of sorts. I also have security camera's mounted on the outside of the house with night vision.

I guess we live in an older established neighborhood, as they call it. We are getting renters over the past few years. Maybe I should be more concerned. I don't want to move because we have been here 30+ years and the house is paid for.

The OP brought up a GOOD POINT. Maybe we should all give the issue some serious thought.
  • I found out that when you stop delivery of the newspaper it does the same thing. The police caught our paper delivery man prowling around our house at 3:00AM.
We now have video surveillance that records cameras all around the house and that we can check online where ever we are when we travel. No monthly cost and it does provide some peace of mind.
  • so, install motion sensors on all outside lights, send the family somewhere in the motorhome, turn all the interior lights out, then sit and wait.
You will soon find out if it was a one time occurrence, and therefore not worthy of worry, or a regular thing that you need to be concerned about.
  • Next time you plan a vacation, just put a for sale sign on the windshield a week before you leave...
Then when the wrong person sees it gone they think it was sold and you are still there... lol
