X2; IMHO it is totally absurd that in many states people with no training can drive vehicles that would require CDLs if they were used for anything else than private RVing. Driving an air brake-equipped vehicle even requires an endorsement beyond the basic CDL; not requiring the same of RV owners simply demonstrates that RVIA and FMCA have effective lobbying organizations.
You need a CDL to be a chauffeur. By you logic everyone needs a CDL to drive a car.
U-Haul trucks do not require a CDL and people renting one of these every few years is much more dangerous than MH drivers
MH drivers drive 10 to 20 mph below the speed limit because the follow the advice of the Lazy Days instructor to set the cruise at 62 and forget it or drive slower than the rest of traffic. SO instructional courses get them driving slower.
The fact of the matter is MH drivers are not causing higher rates of accidents even if you do not like that they have been instructed to drive slow (and safe).
