I admit that I am often one of those driving 10 - 20 MPH below the AVERAGE speed on expressways. And that is driving my pickup truck, not towing.
Around here, the typical expressway driver is probably going 5 - 10 MPH over the legal limit. Many much faster. I drive 5 - 7 MPH under the legal limit most times.
Of course, around here the expressways are not congested and those in a hurry have no problem passing me. I try to avoid being a rolling roadblock.
When I'm driving in a congested area, I try to better match the speed of surrounding traffic to help avoid becoming a hood ornament!
