I think proficiency tests for MH are just common sense. If it get's some MH driver's off the road, that should be off anyway, then so be it. It will not kill the RV industry, just like it didn't kill the motorcycle industry when Florida started requiring a proficiency test to have the motorcycle endorsement put on your driver's license.
Fl. is really concerned about MC safety. That is the reason they do not require headgear. :S Anything they do is for money, not safety. Requiring MH operators to get CDL or special lic. will be for the money it generates.
There is no comparsion between flying a plane and driving a MH. I do both and I also give the flight review required to fly planes.
Do you have a CDL or a special license for your MH?
