Seems to me most of the negative comments regarding getting a CDL or taking some sort of test, written and driving are from people that may not be able to pass the test without a little work and studying.
You will not pass the test without studying, that is a factual statement.
I have had a CDL for 30 plus years but have not driven a truck for the last 25 years. You do learn things that many RV owners has no clue about.
A written and driving test could help many understand how to operate their vehicle more safely.
I stand by my earlier statement that many cannot back an RV. So I also question their forward movement. Air brakes are a whole separate topic.
Having a CDL may just save your life, especially if you drive a large class A with air brakes.
