Sorry Bob, I thought your previous arrogance comment was uncalled for as well. I did not have to distort anything for my argument to work. In fact, your statement that it took additional training/driving/experience to feel comfortable behind the wheel of the RV or the motorcycle, supports the argument about the importance of training. I don't believe that any of us are too old to learn something new. Do you?
Agree, never to old to learn. One thing I have learned is to keep government rules and regulations out of my life as much as possible. Rules and regulations were meant to protect us from others. Not to protect us from ourselves, takes away personal freedom. In the case of motorcycle helmets, an adult should be able to decide what is right for them. Not hurting anyone else. If you start down the path of the government is smarter than the individual, that is going down a slippery slope. As far as CDL's for motorhomes, there is no statistical evidence that would suggest that there is a problem that is so unusual that the government must intervene, to protect it's citizen's, IMO.
