Do mattress toppers make that much of a difference.

I can't talk about mattress toppers for the RV but I recently got one for my bed at home and have never slept better. I've got a really bad back and neck and the topper I got is a godsend https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PH8ONBM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 along with a pillow Sleep Innovations Contour Memory Foam Pillow, Standard Size. Both are on a 2 year old Sealey Mattress that I thought was very supportive before I got the topper.
