I think it is just common sense to check all pins and connections at every stop, before you get back on the highway. Things can come loose or break and it makes sense to check often for any problems.

Lock the hitch to the RV receiver.....no need to key lock the tow bar arms to the dingy its self...that way you cam pull those tow bar pins and either drive the toad away from the coach or vice-a-versa
