Do not use awnings in heavy rain?????? Really???

So out shopping for a new motorhome looking at Gas to pushers read the owners manual on a new Tiffin Red as wife likes the 37 PA and it tells me to put the awning away in a rainstorm ? I live in Wash...

"We are not liable" clause.. using an awning if it's sunny, raining, wet, dry, or in between is not cause for us to worry about liability.

But mine performed perfectly with a propane fireplace under a deluge and kept us all happy we had it over us.
