Do not use awnings in heavy rain?????? Really???

I live in Washington State and use my awning all the time in rain. Even if my awning was in the in position during those one week soaker rain storms my awning still gets wet while it's all rolled up. First dry day I air it out! What you have to watch is the wind if you don't have a auto wind awning roll up you will be buying a new awning. I have mine set at 30 MPH windspeed, even if were not around the coach the awning rolls up automatically.
