Do not use awnings in heavy rain?????? Really???

X2. I just tilt ours to let the water run off. If I forget to this it will auto dump once enough water collects on the awning. I try not to do this as the sound it makes when it dumps will scare you and you don't want to be under tbe end when it dumps.
