Way funny! Really! Mine is not a Motor Home, but an awning is an awning. We enjoy sitting under the awning when it rains. Our previous TT's all had manual awnings. No problem, just tilt one side and even in heavy rains, the water ran off.
Our current TT has an electric, self-dumping awning. First time we tried it in the rain, we were pleasantly sitting under it enjoy the thunderclaps and the (reasonably) strong downpour. when the awning dumped. that was the last time we sat under it in the rain. Yea it dumped! Boy did it dump! And then splashed all over everything, including us! Scared the living be-jee-bers right out of us!
Since then, I've learned how to tilt it, but then it rubs the door too much, so we find it a whole lot easier to just roll it up and watch television and cuddle together inside.
