Do not use awnings in heavy rain?????? Really???

So out shopping for a new motorhome looking at Gas to pushers read the owners manual on a new Tiffin Red as wife likes the 37 PA and it tells me to put the awning away in a rainstorm ? I live in Wash...

The warning label is a CYA to let you know they will not cover damage due to mold or mildew. You just need to let it dry prior to storing it. If you have to, you can roll it up and then extend it when you get home or next stop and let dry.
