The more I read these things the more I decide to keep my old motorhome. I can't even count the number of hard rainstorms where I sat under the awning. Mine is manual but I tilt it way down and ride it out.
We were camping at the Wilmington KOA and a guy had what looked like a brand new motorhome. The awning was scissored out and he left in his toad. A gust of wind blew up and wrapped that awning right over the top of his motorhome. It wasn't even that hard of a gust of wind. Why have an awning when you can't use it in relatively moderate weather?
