Do not use awnings in heavy rain?????? Really???

So out shopping for a new motorhome looking at Gas to pushers read the owners manual on a new Tiffin Red as wife likes the 37 PA and it tells me to put the awning away in a rainstorm ? I live in Wash...

One needs to drop the aft outer corner DOWN severely so that water runs off regardless of how much its raining. Do that and you will never have problems.
