I hate using the genset for AC. It's two different devices with noise and buzzing, squared. We have never done it overnight, and won't unless we absolutely have to. We do find it convenient for a brief usage now and then, but when we need AC overnight, we pay for a hookup CG. We were just out in the desert with temps well over 100 and, driving, our dash air handled it easily. So no need in our C for a genset going down the road.
I think you'd be fine without it. But another viewpoint is, some day you will sell the C, and having no genset could be a resale problem, just like now.
