- IvylogExplorer IIIYes, at least once a year.
- egh33ExplorerMy roof gets washed every time I wash the rest of the coach. If I don't I keep getting white streaks down the sides. Some times the coach get washed maybe 2 or 3 times in the summer.
- JumboJetExplorerI wash mine and then apply a rubber roof treatment each Spring.
I got it washed again while on vacation - driving through an intense thunderstorm in South Dakota.
Got it washed again in Amarillo, TX during an intense thunderstorm while sitting in an RV park.
I store the RV inside, but always remove the dust that accumulates before heading out.
Next Spring, I will scrub again and apply the rubber roof treatment.
Roof still looks good for a 14 year old motor home. - EffyExplorer IIYes. A dirty roof not only invites issues, but it also contributes to how dirty and streaked the MH is.
- rgatijnet1Explorer IIIThe only way to do a proper inspection of the roof, and the various places that need to be sealed, is to wash it first.
- 10forty2ExplorerI usually climb up there once a year and scrub it good. This last time it was NASTY from sitting under my trees while we did some reno projects over the winter. Took about 20 Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and nearly 4 hours on my hands/knees/belly but I finally got it clean. Won't be storing outside in my driveway over the winter again.....
- ets1996ExplorerI wash it a couple times a year and wax it once a year. I used to live in Olympia WA. I always got the little black/green mold spots. Washing cleaned that off then wax kept it from coming back. Also the wax on fiberglass roof helps keep the black/white streaks form the sides, front, back of bus when it rains.
- J-RoosterExplorerI pay my Grandson $100.00 and he gets up on the roof soaks it down. Then he uses Simple Green 1 to 1 mix, then he scrubs the roof with a deck brush. I have him rinse the roof with the power sprayer on the lowest setting. And he's told not to use the power sprayer on any seams.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWe always washed our roof.... and then kept going downward.
- HudsonerExplorerJust washed my rubber roof with dishwasher soap and a scrubber. Now it is almost white again!
