- qtla9111NomadMany travel buses around the world have a downstairs compartment for the second driver. In Mexico they are complete with video feed from the main cabin, wifi, a sofa-sleeper and communication to the driver.
- Mr_Mark1ExplorerThe idea of having a usable 'fun place' for kids or even a small man-cave in the basement of a Prevost would majorly take up basement storage.
We have two very large pass-through bays. Some of the other bays have a few cubby holes to store things. I couldn't imagine giving up what storage we have to make another room.
There are so many electronics in the two pass-through bays already of which all of that would have to be relocated. Certainly it could be done but that kind of custom design would be timely but fun to see.

You only need a few inches of floors where people will be standing on them (I'm guessing that it is probably less than 6 inches these days). But on a custom coach, you could cut a hole in that floor as long as you know there will not be any weight bearing down on the area.
No one in the basement is going to be pushing upward on anyone. The floor of the Prevost in the living area is about 6" thick. Imagine how much wood and bracing you need to put in the floor to handle the 50 passenger seats and all those folks standing in the isle waiting to get out. Now, get rid of all those seats and install MH furniture and you have one seriously sturdy floor!

Although it sounds unlikely and probably rare, if not non-existent, It's certainly plausible and not impossible to build a pop up kids access area. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IINo one in the basement is going to be pushing upward on anyone. Nowthat could lead to a good SNL or Jimmy Fallen skit. Pop up kids. hey! Stop pushin on the cushion. I'm sitting here.

- rgatijnet1Explorer IIIPrevost coaches are all custom made. If the buyer has the money he can order anything he wants. I am sure that the pets were kept comfortable in the basement compartment. Don't compare a custom built Prevost with the other coaches you see on the road. Each one is as unique as the buyer wanted to make it, even if that means a pet oasis in the basement.
- Two_JayhawksExplorerThat would not be a proper use of a 911 call I'm guessing the police wouldn't even follow up on something like that.
- RoadpilotExplorerI have seen many Prevosts that have air conditioned and heated bays. They also have beds, audio systems and TV's down there. They also have a door or hatch to the upper level of the bus.
- LamanExplorerOMG call 911 because you saw someone put dogs in a bay! You have no idea as to the set-up in that bay, could be air-conditioned with beds water etc.. Did they go in willing or did he have shove them in kicking and fighting? Give me a break.
