I, too, can't see someone buying there last motorhome first.... things change in life. What I read while we were searching was to "buy your 3rd motorhome first". I feel like thats what we did. I've mentioned this before but I read about motorhomes for 7 yrs. before we bought our first one (2008 Monaco Dynasty, 42 ft.).
We rented three times, a 31 ft. class C in 2004 with 1 slide, a 38 ft. class A with 3 slides in 2005 and a 38 ft. class A with 4 slides in 2006. In January of 2007, we ordered our new 2008 Dynasty with 4 slides. We enjoyed that coach thoroughly and it fit us perfectly as a first coach.
We decided to go for one more that should last us 20 yrs. if we want it to. It's in our signature as we have had it for about a month now.
Way in the future, I might consider a class B as I get older. At 56, I think I have a good amount of time before I feel uncomfortable driving a 45 ft., 13' 4" tall coach.
