One thing to keep in mind is, when looking at 3-4 year old motor homes for those years, the industry was extremely depressed. Several manufacturers went out of business. Not many new small and mid size coaches were being built.....typically people that can afford to buy large motor homes weren't hit as hard by the down turn in the economy and were able to purchase the upscale coaches.
I went thru 5 motor homes in 9 years. I started off with a gas motor home, then a diesel, then another diesel, then downsized to a gas, then back to a diesel. I now have my last motorhome. I did tons of research, but still made mistakes. My current motor home is 38 feet. Ideally I would have liked to have found a 36 footer. The largest I ever owned was 41 feet.
From what I've read, it does appear that a lot of people are looking for diesel motor homes in the mid 30 foot range. Good Luck.
