Well in feeble theory "bigger isn't always better". We have a 37' coach and it serves our needs just fine. We're in it 6 to 7 months of the year. Ours is a gas unit and as far as I'm concerned a whole lot cheaper to maintain the a big diesel. Of course we don't put on the miles that some do (3k/yr) so the need for a diesel doesn't fit for us. There are quite a few in our park over the last 4 years that have changed to gas rigs and or also downsized. There biggest reason??? "Cost to operate" then there were those, well let's just say wanted to keep up with the Jones and it didn't work out. I'm sure all the reasons you listed fit into the equation somewhere. I should mention our 1st coach was 32' so we went up in size but that was only because retirement was right around the corner and we new we needed something larger. Good Luck in your decision and enjoy whatever you decide on. Be Safe!
