I am fascinated by all these people who insist you must have at least 40' to full time. We started out in a 27' (32' total) tt. We swapped to a 34' class A so we could tow a jeep. We couldn't be happier. We have more spaces at parks available to us, we can stay in places like Yosemite, and we don't have to clean two toilets.
I think the need for 'space' comes from how you lived before you began to full time. If you are used to a 3000SF house and spending most of your time as a couple in different rooms doing different things, you will need more 'space.' We lived in about 800SF of our 1500SF house; the adjustment down to 250SF wasn't a large one.
we have started full timing in a 36 and know we need more room. For reasons stated by others we would like to stay as short as feasible.
40 and 42 seem viable and would like to avoid a 45. I wish we could stay in a 36 but that is just not feasible imo. We will miss the flexibility and some small CGs
Will likely pick a 40 ft
As to slides bigger and more slides is a must imo. We do not ballroom dance either but we can and do step on one another's toes now and again. What ever size you get try to get more and larger slides imo
