That statement confuses me. As long as you are connected to 120v shore power, the Trik-l-start will keep the chassis batteries charged due to the fact when the engine isn't running, there just isn't that much 12v being used off of the chassis batteries. Now when you say: "camping", I'm assuming you mean you don't have 120v shore power.... then it wouldn't matter any way as the converter wouldn't be charging the batteries unless the generator is on.
