I always wondered if our brake lights came on with the jake brake. I found out early one morning while taking the coach in for an early service appt. Before the sun came up, I was traveling west on the I-10 to Redlands, CA, going down a a hill. I hit the jake brake button and the Honda lit up like a Christmas tree in the rear camera. LOL!
I personally think it is important that the brake lights illuminate even if you are going down a long decline. It shows the people behind you that you are going slow.
I would have that feature installed if they can do it.
There are times that I don't hit my service brakes until I get down to 18 mph when the jake brake cuts out. That's why people need to 'SEE' that you are slowing down from the brake lights.
