As others have said> NOTE THIS POST APPLIES TO ALL MOTOR HOMES. NOt just the model specified.
Furnace uses 12 volt for control and blowers.. Propane for heat.> Now you can add a 'Cheap heat' system if you wish (Do not think it is worth it) this is an electric heater.. Instead I added a pair of heavy duth (15/20 amp) Duplex outlets (one to a circuit breaker. 12ga wire) for electric space heaters. Do not recommend plugging them into existing 15 amp RV outlets That's too much load for that type of outlet (15 amp house outlet ok but not the "Uini Box jobs in RVs).
Water heater.. Some run on Propane only (From factory) some on your choice. some ccan run on BOTH (Atwood) at the same time for faster recovery. On Atwood you normally have two switches mine are marked Elec and Gas. sometimes it's an icon of a flame and a lightening bolt with a FAULT light between them.
On Surburan there is a switch.. I think outside in the WH compartment but since I don't have one I'm nto sure.. And this only applies if electric IS an option.
Don't have electric? HOTT ROD from any decernt RV store will add it.
Fridges come in basically 3 flavors for this post
Residential (120 vac only)
RV 1: 120 volt with 12 volt controls and gas with 12 volt controls
RV 2 (rare) same as above with with a 12 volt for heat as well as control option.
Does this help?
