Zone 2 is working fine in HP,Auto and cool modes......
Take the ambient sensor off the rear working unit Circuit board and just plug it into the front AC unit circuit board. That will tell you if it is the ambient sensor. Other than that, I would suspect the front AC circuit board. But, you problem is something I have never heard of. Could you tell us more? Year/Brand/Model of unit. How old are the AC units and were they originally on the CCC2 system or the 5 button system? Doug
