When a Fl light ballast is defective, it leaks RF ac voltage thru the 12 volt system(even tho the light is 12 volts), and on older RV's can affect the electronic controls on various appliances. So, the fact that you have NEVER had a problem does not mean that a Fl light has a defective ballast now. ALL the controls on your refer are low voltage 12 dc, so the likelyhood of a fire is extremely remote. Doug
Thanks Doug! Guess what? I decided to change to couple of fixtures (?) today. One of which was giving me problems. I guess the wiring is bad on that one (couldn't get the new fixture to work, so I cut both wires and tapped them off.
After reading your post, I figured I'd try turning the frig on, ......... and so far the AC lights been on without any switching to Lp and back. ....
