Most of the folks here advise not to buy OEM cooling units from either Dometic or Norcold but instead to go with the Amish Cooling Units.
If you want to go all electric, with a compressor.. Both Norcold and Dometic have at least one (or more) Compressor fridges with Danfoss compressors, like the Engle freezer next to me.
These power sippers suck a great grand 40 watts give or take like 5 watts.
Compare that to a apair of 1141 lamps and ... Well, they are about 20 each. so, its really the same power.. When its running. As one dual lamp fixture.
