Previous owners had the foam tape between the screen door and frame. It died of old age and left a gooey mess, not all of which I could get off. I haven't replaced it with anything, but if I were to, I think I'd try the little bumpers used on kitchen/bathroom cabinet drawers and doors.
If your door is dragging on the sill, all the little plastic bushings in the hinge could be pounded out from road vibration. It isn't a pretty fix, but I could cut a notch out of small flat washers. Then raise the door by prying under, "clip" the notched washers over the hinge "pin" (actually a long rod) and squeeze the notch closed with pliers. That "shimmed" the hinge up a little.
