I think we all can agree that overall space and countertop space is a premium in motorhomes. Then why do manufacturers put double sinks in their units (even b type)? My coachmen has about 4 inch of counterpace between my stovetop and double sink. I only use one sink at a time. I'm considering changing to a single sink and gain about 12 inches or more of counterspace. Any drawbacks to doing this?

We're tight on space but use 2 sinks often when washing/rinsing dishes. You could always get a cover for one side to increase counterspace and easily remove if you ever do need the second side.

Ours has a cover for one of the sinks that creates more counter. I have also seen rigs with counters similar to mine attach a folding counter top on the end. Folded down there is walk space, folded up they make for a tight corner to get to the rear, but give another 2 feet or so of counter top.Jose

We have the fold down counter extension, as well as covers for both sides of the sink.
It seems that the new trend is to go to the goofy little round/oval euro style, won't have one, if that was the only thing available, my first mod when I got it home would be to put a double sink in. ;)

I fifteenth the double sink use. I was told that this is a European look, but who knows.

We have the double sinks and the little counter extension. The dish drainer lives in one sink and holds stuff for safety. The other sink is always available for washing hands/dishes.

I don't get the round kitchen sink idea either. They look quite stylish, but seem to me to be impractical and useless.
