You give up floor space no matter where the door is. If it's in the font, they move the pax seat back. Can't really put any cabinets over the door because the copilot would be whacking their head on it. Over my mid-entry door is the service panel for the tanks etc. Not as deep as a cabinet so it's not an issue.
We like the mid entry. In seems easier getting the groceries into the kitchen and puts the entry under the main awning.
