DP vs Gas on Pulling
Help me understand something. If a DP has 300hp and a 6 speed transmission will it out pull a Gas A with 362hp and a 5 speed tranny if both were pulling the same amount of weight? I asked this bec...

Thats pretty low. I would get 9 - 10 mpg's on my 38.5' v10 pulling a 4000 lb toad.
Probably different years of the V10. The Newest version puts out a lot more power with the same displacement so should be more efficient. You're 9-10 with toad is definitely on the highest end I have ever heard though. I usually get about 7mpg with a combination of flat Florida and "hilly" Florida.
Ours was a 2011 so pretty new. 7mpg was about the best we saw. We did a few trips the first year we had it without the toad and was still only 7.5-7.8. I'd have to go back and look. I know for a fact it never topped 8.
