I agree...an RV is not the place to put your money if you need to be able to get out of it quick, a savings account would be a better choice.
In the age range you are looking for it is too easy to buy a coach with potential problems, even with a thorough pre-purchase inspection. A coach that you are buying cheap because it has been sitting can suddenly develop an expensive problem like a rear main seal leak when you start driving it, and will immediately be worth less than you paid for it.
The fact that you were able to flip your last one in 6 weeks was a fluke of being in the right place at the right time...don't count on that again regardless of fuel type or chassis type.
