Double paned windows provide insulation from heat, cold and noise. Lots of posts about this very issue. Use the search box at the top of the page and put in "fogged windows", or a variation.....if the windows are fogged where you cannot see clearly out of your mirrors, contact your insurance company. Mine replaced mine under comprehensive since it was a safety issue.....Dennis
