Driver seat issue

I have a 30 ft sitting atop a gas Ford F53 chassis.
The problem is that the thing rides rougher than a Sherman tank.
Started having back issues and the constant pounding does my spine no good.
Thought about shocks, but you must over come the springs before they have any effect. Tire pressure is appropriate for the coach.
Has anyone installed a Bostrom type seat? New ones are spendy, but if it saves my back, it would allow us to continue our future travel plans.

  • If you can stop at any larger truck store. They will have a display of replacement seats where you can set in them and see the actual size. There are other mfgs than Bostrum.
Also you will need an air source. Some seats have self contained air supplies.

Better plan on 2 seats since the wife will want one to.
  • Found them on eBay for under $500...there's little you could do to the suspension that wouldn't cost even more than that except maybe shocks so, yeah, get the seat...save your back.
  • Assuming there is nothing wrong with the suspension and the ride is the best it will get, I would spend the money for a seat that saved my back and made traveling more enjoyable.
