The first vehicle I ever drove when I only had a temporary permit was a class A motorhome. OK, I drove a car 3 miles home from the DMV, but that was it. After about 200 miles, I thought I was feeling pretty good about it, till we hit construction. 2 lanes down into 1 and 1/2 on the bridges. 10 miles with no where to pull off. Needles to say, I was a nervous wreck. My dad was able to swap drivers with me after 8 miles. That 35 years ago, but that was something I will never forget. It was about 1000 round trip total, by the end of the trip, I would say that I was used to it. Currently now with my own motorhome, my wife and I both drive, but she hates construction and will pull over anytime hit it.
your motorhome is like a mini cooper compared to the one the Op asked about. No comparison between a 40+ diesel pusher with air brakes etc compared to a old 30ft gasser in my opinion
As to OP question and comparing apples to apples Driving it is easy its getting used to required stopping distance on these units and the turning of corners that require some road experience for sure
they turn sharper than you feel they will and they don't stop all that fast so leave plenty of room for yellow lites and guys that insist in cutting in front of you etc.getting first hand experience is what will train you, nothing else
also remember to keep up good speed at the bottom of steep hills and when merging onto freeways etc
There are so many people that cut in front of you....
