When traveling, how many hours per day do you drive before you lay up for a rest period?

Depends. On Sept 13 2001 I was stuck in SoCal so 17 hours straight thru to home.
Other times I have done 10 hard hours. Now days, two to three before a break and max 8 for a stop.
