From 50% rated output to full output, expect 1.5 to 2 pounds of hydrocarbon fuel per KWH, whether diesel, gasoline, or LPG. Specific fuel consumption will be higher at loads below 50% but less so with DC-inverter gensets that can reduce output in an "economy" mode.
Thus to estimate how many pounds (or gallons) per hour, or day, you need to have an idea of how much poer you are using, for how long. Most RV gensets are designed for peak loads, so we don't use them anywhere close to full output. Size and fuel type matters less than power consumption.
