Dsl genset fuel consumption ?
Do any of you know how much fuel an hour an 8kw Cummins genset uses ? I need to run a genset for a month or so and am trying to figure out a somewhat economical unit to use.

The loads will vary. I need to run our TT and a reznor heater in a shop and possibly another heater in the shop. I dont know the actual loads but i know the heaters wont take alot as the reznor wil be propane and the othe dsl. I am having a shop built soon and will need to thaw the ground inside so we can pour concrete and i cant get power for approx 6 weeks. I think that with the price difference in fuel i am going to go buy a Honda EU6500 and jst buy gas as it uses approx same amount of fuel as Cummins/Onan 6 or 8 kw. I was hoping the dsl was more fuel efficient but they are actually real close. I already own a Honda 3000 if i need more than the 6500.
